Version 13.8 Highlights
The highlight of 13.8 is three new steps in the data preparation flow: Transpose Columns, which reorganizes information from vertical to horizontal; Split Text, which separates the content of a column into several based on a separator; and Fill, which completes empty cells by replicating the last value in the column. The version also brings BI Integration, to connect your analyses to business intelligence systems via a view, and strengthens internal control in Account Substantiation by blocking account editing after the first level of approval. Other updates and fixes are detailed below.

New Features
Transpose Columns step in the data preparation flow
Available in the data preparation editor when building the flow. The new Transpose Columns step reorganizes your data, moving information arranged vertically into a horizontal format.
Create a new column for each unique value of an existing column, transposing data from row to column.
Split Text step in the data preparation flow
Available in the data preparation editor when building the flow. The new Split Text step separates the content of a text column into multiple columns based on a separator character.
Break a single text column into several distinct columns based on the separator you define.
Fill step in the data preparation flow
Available in the data preparation editor when building the flow. The new Fill step automatically completes empty cells with the last value found in the same column, speeding up information categorization in your analyses.
Fill empty cells (date, number, or text) by replicating the last value in the column.
When a cell with a different value appears, this new value is replicated in the following cells.
Multiple element selection in the data preparation flow
Available in the data preparation editor when building the flow. Now you can select several elements at once, gaining agility to organize and maintain your preparations.
Select multiple steps, annotations, or connections at once.
Bulk delete or move selected elements.
BI Integration
Available in the Processes menu, under Process Settings, in the BI Automation option. You can now connect your analyses to business intelligence (BI) systems, expanding what can be done with the data.
Create a connection through a database view to a third-party BI system.
Account editing lock after the first approval level
Available in Account Substantiation, in the account approval workflow. To strengthen internal control and compliance with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX) Internal Control Model, upon advancing to the first level of the approval workflow, analysis creation and editing actions are blocked, ensuring that what was submitted undergoes rigorous control.
Upon reaching the first approval level, creating and editing the account analysis is blocked.
To edit information, simply return the analysis to the first approval stage.
Improvements
The Transform and Filter step of the data preparation flow has gained the
Foldercode()function, which returns the code of the folder where the process is located—useful for differentiating the same process present in different folders within analyses.
