Data Lake (BI Integration)
The BI Integration allows you to share Dattos data with business intelligence (BI) tools. You control exactly which tables and results become accessible, ensuring greater data security and privacy.
Enable sharing
To enable sharing, the Dattos Infrastructure team needs to perform the integration configurations. Contact Dattos Support, which will forward the request.
Once enabled, the platform creates the connection data and the list of available tables:
Connection data: server, database, automatically created user, and password.
Table list: code, name, and the table queried for BI display.
Activate tables
To choose which tables will be shared, go to Processes → Open process → Settings → BI Integration, locate the list of tables, and use the Activate BI field (checkbox) to select those you want to share. Then, click Save.
The platform displays a confirmation message warning that all users in the organization will be able to access the data from the selected tables.
Everything starts unchecked: even after enabling the integration, all results remain unchecked. It is up to you to evaluate and activate sharing for each table individually.
How tables are updated
Whenever a shared process is executed, the platform automatically updates the tables in the BI. Manual edits and bulk changes also update the tables. When a result's structure changes — for example, with a new column —, the platform creates a new version of the table and adjusts the data.
The features are available in Portuguese and English, according to the language chosen on the platform.
Connection by table name: use the table name in the query, for example SELECT * FROM banco.tabela WHERE tabela.coluna1 = 1.
Disable integration
To deactivate the BI for an organization, access the Dattos API, under Organizations, and click on Disable BI. This removes all linked tables.
