Create a process
On the Automation Processes screen, the New Process button starts the creation of a process. You choose the type of processing engine, enter a name and code, and proceed to the configuration of the data preparation flow.
1. Choose the process type
Before defining the name and code, the platform asks you to choose which type of process you want to create from two options.
Data preparation for analysis (Big Data + AI) — Turbo AI (New) is the default and recommended option. It uses the new processing engine, designed for large volumes of data, high performance, and advanced artificial intelligence features. Its main improvements are:
optimized processing for large data volumes;
higher performance in the preparation and reconciliation steps;
foundation prepared for the use of artificial intelligence in the configuration and evolution of processes;
a more modern and scalable experience.
Data preparation for analysis — Standard uses the traditional process designer. It is primarily available for continuing existing processes, maintaining or adjusting flows created in the previous model, and addressing specific scenarios.
Use Turbo AI by default: it represents the next generation of Dattos processes and should be the default choice for new processes.
Standard Limits: this model does not incorporate the performance, scale, and intelligence improvements available in Turbo AI.
2. Register the process
Next, the platform opens the registration window and asks for:
Process name: the process title. Use a clear and descriptive name that makes it easy to identify the process objective in daily operations.
Code: the technical identifier of the process.
Immutable code: once saved, the code cannot be changed.
3. Complete the creation
By clicking Continue, you are directed to the Data Preparation Flow Configuration screen, depending on the type of process selected. From there, configure sources, rules, relationships, and other flow steps.
