Account Reconciliation

Dashboard and Consolidated View

Dashboard and Consolidated View

In addition to the work screens, the module has two executive views. The Closing Dashboard shows progress and bottlenecks; the Consolidated View delivers aggregated balances in a table. Both respect the selected month and folder.

Closing Dashboard

In the Accounts menu, the Dashboard brings together four areas:

  • Closing Progress: compares the Planned Deadline (calculated from the start date and the deadlines for each stage) with the Projected Deadline (the realistic projection from today), and includes a chart with the history of planned, projected, and approved groups. It is the view used to know whether the closing will meet the deadline.

  • Approval Status: three charts, one for each stage (Prepared, Reviewed, Approved), showing how many groups have passed through each one. It helps identify bottlenecks, such as many groups stuck in preparation.

  • Reconciliation Status: one bar per business, segmented by Reconciled, Justified, Unexplained, and Pending. It shows which businesses concentrate the issues.

  • Account Group Status: a table with the progress of each account group and a shortcut that takes you directly to that group's Account Analysis.

Consolidated View

The Consolidated View is a table report, with one row per account group and columns for Opening Balance, Support Balance, Difference, and Unexplained Difference, plus a total row in the footer. You filter by business and company and export the result using the Generate Report button.

The difference between the two screens is the focus. Account Analysis is the work screen: you go through one analysis at a time, with the statuses, the owners, and the approval flow. The Consolidated View is the review screen: it sums the balances by account group, without the flow details, and works well for the financial reviewer or for an executive closing report.

Tip: both screens depend on the trial balance loaded for the month. Without a trial balance for the reference period, the balances appear as zero.

Where to continue

  • Businesses, Chart of Accounts, and owners.

  • Account Analysis: the account list.
