Introduction to Processes
A process is the foundation of data analysis automation in Dattos. In it, you gather into a single and recurring flow what was previously done manually in spreadsheets: importing data from various systems, preparing it, executing calculations, and generating results for analysis — such as reconciliations, reports, and dashboards.
Instead of repeating this work every period, you configure the process once and run it as many times as needed, always with the same standard and traceability.
The lifecycle of a process
A process goes through four stages, which also serve as the roadmap for this manual:
Create the process: provide a name and a code.
Configure: design the data preparation and adjust information, folders, recurrence, permissions, and integrations.
Execute: load data manually or automatically.
View and analyze: explore the results of the process.
The Processes screen
Processes are organized by folder. When selecting a folder, you see the processes associated with it, each with a code, name, the last loaded reference date, and status. You can also search by name or code and display archived processes.
To create a process, click on New Process and enter the name and code. From there, you configure the data preparation and the rest of the process.
Status: active and archived
Active: the process can be configured, executed, and receive new data.
Archived: the process is blocked for configuration and new uploads, but the entire execution history is preserved.
Why archive: archiving keeps history available for consultation without allowing new changes — useful for governance and compliance. You can still navigate through the import history of an archived process.

Execute: manual and automated execution.
View and analyze: a process can generate several results, viewed in different ways — in tables, as reconciliation analysis, or in embedded external dashboards.
